地下の名前通りこじんまりしたお店で、南亜系の男性店員さんが愛想よく迎えてくれました。
店頭メニューで見た、カレーが2種頂ける、ダブルカレーセットにしました。選んだのはマトンとシーフード、ドリンクはラッシー。注文後、聞かれませんでしたが、辛さが選べることに気づき、大辛で、と追加でお願いしました。
しばし後男性店員さんが持ってきてくれたお皿には、堂々たるナンが載っています。ナンを頂かない私、そういえばナンかライスかを聞かれなかったし、こちらから指定もしなかったな…と思い、改めて店内メニューを見ると、…ナン、ライス、…とどちらもデフォルトで含まれていることに気づきました。
ーナンは頂かないのですが…
「そうですか…でもライスもついていますし、お替りできますよ」
こちらの確認ミスにもかかわらず、申し訳なさそうな店員さん、的確なフォロー。しかし、ナンを残しながらライスのお替りは私にはできません。味わい深くしっかり辛いカレーを、ライスで頂きました。
会計時、改めてナンを盛大に残したことを、店員さんに詫びました。
「こちらこそすみません」…いや、私の失敗ですって。
