大久保駅南口を出て右斜め前に小滝橋通りに向かう途中の新宿タウンプラザ1階にある玉子焼きをメインとしたお店「赤鬼 とうきょう」。平日の12時半くらいに初訪問。
店内はカウンター4席でコンパクトな店内。メニューは香川県綾川町から直送しているという玉子料理をメインとしている。だし親子丼、黒豚そぼろ丼、焼き玉子かけご飯がそれぞれ800円。
テイクアウトもできる和三盆玉子焼き、ねぎ巻きや、日本酒、ワインのお酒もある。今回は赤鬼のおむらいす、卵かけごはんを焼いた「焼きＴＫＧ 800円」にする。
壁際にはご主人の趣味なのかな、ずらっとものすごい数のミニカーが飾ってある。フライパンを使って調理ものの数分で提供あり。スープ付き。
ルックスはオムライスの形、ただ玉子焼きを包むのではなく、ご飯の粒に玉子が絡まって網目のようになっている。刻み海苔と漬物が添えられている。さっそく食べてみる。
まさに焼いた出汁のきいた玉子かけご飯で、ネギも相まって香ばしく玉子もめちゃうまでパクパクと食べられる。ものの数分で完食、想定外の見た目のオムライスだったが美味しかった。
お支払いにはPayPayを除く各種QRコード決済、電子マネーなどが使える。親子丼やそぼろ丼も気になるので、また来てみよう。
