There aren't many restaurants in Shin-Okubo where you can go alone, but they kindly accepted me. It's easy to understand because you order on a tablet and there are pictures. Among them, I ordered the budae jjigae set meal. The samgyeopsal next to me came after me, but I had to wait about 20 minutes for my budae jjigae. I can't imagine it being a time-consuming dish. The ingredients are things like red sausages, thinly sliced rice cakes, bacon, spam, enoki mushrooms, mizuna, some noodles, and kimchi. I thought the standard one had cheese in it, but this one didn't. It's a little spicy, probably because there's no cheese in it, but it's not so spicy that you can't eat it. However, I have eaten budae jjigae at various restaurants, but it is not rich at all. At the restaurants I've been to previously, I didn't feel like I was drinking enough soup no matter how much I drank it, but this one has too much salt and lacks flavor, so I tried to scoop out as much of the soup as possible when scooping out the ingredients before eating. It's been a while since I last had lunch in Shin-Okubo, but I was a little disappointed.
