3月の後半に入り、桜の開花予報が報じられるこの日、東京は朝から雨、しかも途中からみぞれになった日。
私もなんとなく大久保に行き、あてもなく新大久保まで歩きます。
なんとなく１本奥の小道に入ったところ、韓国、タイなどの料理を扱う店が集まったエリアを発見。
なんとなくカレーが食べたくなり、カレーのほかにいろいろな料理を扱う店に決定、階段を上ります。
店内は他国から来たスタッフ、外国のお客。
今、店内の日本人は私だけ。
厚みのあるメニューからBセット 880円。
カレーは2種選べるのでサグチキンとキーマ。 辛さは2番目に辛い辛め、ドリンクはマンゴーラッシー。
新大久保駅に隣接しており、かすかに駅の放送が聞こえてきます。
まず出されるのがドリンクとサラダ、しばらくして料理の皿と大きなナン。
ランチタイムのカレーのセットを注文すると出る、お決まりのスタイル。
サグカレーは抹茶のような味がする、緑が鮮やか、辛さ控えめなもの。
チキンは大きな塊の他の具は全て溶けたようなもの、これも特に変わった点なし。
こちらも辛さは控えめ。
変わったところがないので安心できる料理、味はまずまず。
店の奥の壁にTVモニターがあり、静止画ですがカラオケの画像。
どうらやらこの店はチベットかネパール料理店のよう。
カレーは無難ですが、やはりその店が得意とする料理にすべきでした。
ここはディナータイムになってもセットが注文でき、夜はナンのお代わりができないくらいしか違いなし。
カレーでは他店と差別化できないのは仕方がない様子、再訪してこの店の得意料理を注文すべき、とすでに何回も経験して学習能力のない私が強く感じました。
