新大久保駅を出て通りを渡り、マツキヨの角を入ると一時マスク街だった異国情緒漂う通りになる。しばらく進むとガロアホテルがあり、そこの一階にあるレストランがこちらのガゼボトーキョー。
アジアンリゾート感満載なオシャレな雰囲気の外観、バーカウンターも備わった内観で、表の看板にステーキや肉類があり、以前から気になっていたので、平日のランチタイムに初めて入ってみることに。
店内はかなりだだっ広い空間で、テラス席にあったようなソファ席かと思ったら普通のテーブル席に案内された。お昼どきだったが他客はいなかった。
ランチメニューは、今週の選べるメイン4種から選ぶ。さらに日替りデリカッセン、サラダ、ドリンクが付く。インドネシアヌードルや、ローストビーフもあったが、今回は「チキンビリヤニ＆ライタ(ヨーグルトソース) 1,188円」にしてみる。
待つこと10分ほどで提供あり。ワンプレートに全てが乗っている。見た目は鮮やかな感じだが、パクチー有無を確認し忘れて思いっきし入っていた。
あとの祭りだと思い避けながら食べていく。チキンビリヤニはタイ米で大ぶりのチキンがゴロゴロしていて食べ甲斐はあった。
それ以外のサラダとか付け合わせは普通だった。ドリンクをキューッと飲み干して店をあとにする。お支払いにはPayPayが使える。
