池袋のうどん人気No.2のお店、硯屋さん南池袋店。
池袋駅東口から明治通り沿いをまっすぐ歩いていくと、右手側に地下階段が・・・！
本店はこちらから歩いて5分くらいの近くにあります。
以前本店にもお邪魔したことがあるのですが、内装はこちらのほうが綺麗で都内のうどん屋さん！って感じですね。
地下に入るお店なので一見さんは入りにくいかもしれませんが、勇気を出して階段を降りていくと途中からおいしそうなスパイスの香りが漂ってきます！
本店はシンプルで一見さんでも入りやすいのがいいんですが、ちょっと味気ない感じもします。
硯屋さんの売りはスパイシーカレーうどん。
数種類のスパイスを使ったオリジナルのカレーうどんで、さらさらな飲みやすいスープが特徴。
店内にまで漂う香ばしい香りは食欲をそそりますね。
麺は細麺、腰はそこそこ強く、程よくスープに絡みます。
本店と味の差も全くなく、どちらでも食べてもおいしいうどんが頂けそうです。
メニューは本店のほうが圧倒的に多い気もしましたが、昼に伺ったのでメニュー表を出していないだけかもしれません。
