池袋駅東口より西武デパート方面に向かってしばらくこの明治通り沿いに歩き、徒歩8分程で右手にお店が見えてきます。
本店もジュンク堂の先にあり、南池袋店と近いところにありますが、雰囲気はちがう印象を持つお店です。
9/16（日）14時頃の訪問。
1Fのメニューを見てコスパから見れば得得ランチが魅力的。
カウンター席にあるメニュー表や壁に貼ってあるメニューもふくめて、
ここはうどんメニュー以外の一品料理やお酒も充実しています。
日曜日だからか、昼間からお酒を嗜む方も多く一人あたりの回転が遅いので、ピーク時もそうですがピークを外しても待つかもしれません。
さて今回頂いたのは
●牛とろろうどん（温）
ちくわ天or大盛のどちらか選べて⇒大盛選択￥850
比較的細めなおうどんだけどコシがあってつるつるで美味しい硯やさんのおうどんを沢山味わえる♫と、迷わず大盛笑
待つこと8分、着丼された器をみて思わず感心。
牛とろろうどんというメニューは、うどんやさんにいくと比較的あるメニューですが、
大半が牛肉に直接かかっているタイプが殆どなんです。

どういう食べ方をするかは自由ですが、
この計らいが嬉しくて私は混ぜる前に牛肉部分のみ・とろろの部分のみでのおうどんをそれぞれ愉しみ、
堪能した後から、混ぜて食べる、といった3パターンを楽しむことができました！
とろろもきめ細やかで優しいお味ですね。
一方の牛肉の甘辛煮は味が濃い目ですがおうどんと一緒に啜ると良い塩梅の味付けに◎
本店でだいぶ前に食べたことがあり、その懐かしさも相まって噛み締めて食べることができました。
お水はトイレ横のサッカー台にあり2杯め以降はセルフです。
接客のお姉様は基本お一人でやっておりますので忙しそうですが、一人ひとりのお客様の対応は感じがよかったです。
お支払いは現金のみです。
これからも頑張ってください！
