The original Shanghai cuisine restaurant in Ikebukuro. Established 23 years ago.
You can enjoy traditional Shanghai cuisine and handmade dim sum at reasonable prices. We are open until 6am. We accept reservations for drinking parties and banquet courses for two people or more. Ple |
I visited for the first time because I wanted to try some local Chinese food at the end of the meal. This restaurant is run by a Chinese person. There are only a few tables, so you may not be able to get in depending on the timing. The menu is extensive, as you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. The shumai is rice with a braised pork flavor, similar to a rice dumpling, wrapped in skin. It seems good as both a snack and a meal. The sausage is on the outside or on the sweet side. It comes with spicy miso. I ordered the popular chawanmushi, which was quite filling and would be good to share with a few people. The broth is soy sauce-based, like Ramen soup, but has a Chinese flavor. I was thinking of having fried rice, but ended up having the chawanmushi as the end of the meal. Sausage Shumai Chawanmushi
