A casual Italian Cuisine Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) at the west exit of Ikebukuro ☆ A restaurant featured on TV Asahi, Nippon TV, and other networks ☆ COVID-19 countermeasures in place ☆ Spring chee |
It was supposed to rain, but it didn't rain, which was a blessing on this weekend. When I went to Ikebukuro, the crowds were back and the place was lively while still maintaining social distance, so I was happy. After shopping, I had dinner with my sister-in-law in Ikebukuro today. Today's restaurant was Italian Cuisine. It's right next to the station. When you go underground, it's like a hideaway, unlike the name and the atmosphere you'd imagine! The drink menu is also very stylish. There are so many menus that it's hard to decide what to eat. We toasted with American lemonade, a stylish wine cocktail. For the appetizer, we had garlic (softly pickled in soy sauce) and quail eggs (also pickled in soy sauce). The namesake of this restaurant, Nin and Tama, are interesting! ☆Today's Carpaccio Today's dish was water octopus. Water octopus with raw onion slices and rock salt, a refreshing carpaccio. It was very fresh water octopus. Delicious ☆Whimsical Appetizer Platter The colorful plate was a delightful combination of my favorite cheeses, salami, and Prosciutto. Olives were also included, which went well with the wine cocktail. ☆ The shrimp and scallop Ajillo arrived sizzling hot. The garlic oil was so delicious. I ordered a baguette. The shrimp and scallops were delicious, of course, but I had heard that in Spain, it is good manners to eat all the Ajillo oil without leaving any behind, and the oil was so delicious that I really could have eaten it all. ☆ Roast beef cheese fondue This is what I wanted to eat. The thick-sliced roast beef looks delicious as it is, but it's also great when dipped in hot, melted cheese. There were also vegetables and gnocchi, so it was a very satisfying dish. 1,900 yen for all this is a bargain. ☆ Demi-glace stew of beef cheeks The tender meat is mixed with a demi-glace sauce that is well-seasoned. And it's so delicious that you'll want another baguette. It seems to be a recommended dish at the restaurant. ☆ Margherita The dough is delicious. It's like a pizza you would eat at a bar, but the dough is probably handmade. They used a lot of fresh basil, and when the pizza arrived, it smelled good, which made me happy as a basil fan. I usually wear a mask, so at times like this when eating out, my sense of smell is really strong. It's really nice to be able to eat a meal. Now that we were full, we decided to share the dessert. ☆ Dessert platter An assortment of homemade teramisu, ice cream, and mini cakes. The teramisu was creamy and delicious. We ate a lot and called it a day. It's not what I imagined it would be like, considering the name of the place, but whatever we ordered was delicious, and it was a casual Italian Cuisine restaurant that made us want to stop in for a drink. The staff were very efficient and thoughtful. We appreciate their hospitality!
