中国四千年の歴史なんて言いますが、中国火鍋には二千年の歴史があるそう。健康食や美容食として愛され続け、先祖代々伝え続けた結果が今の火鍋文化につながっているのですね。そんな火鍋が食べたいとやってきたのは池袋。歩けば火鍋の看板がところどころに。どうやら池袋北口エリアは町中華ならぬ”ガチ中華”の激戦区だったりするようです。
『逸品火鍋 四季海岸』
今回はその中の１つで、日本人から中国人にも評判の一店を訪ねます。席数は100席超え、至る所で火鍋の香りが漂っております。選んだ火鍋コースは「美顔排毒（4980円）」、もうネーミングが健康的でしかありません。笑 肉は、豚、牛、ジンギスカン。魚介は、鮑、車海老、帆立。野菜は、レタス、青梗菜、白菜。木の子は、椎茸、舞茸、しめじ、えのき、木耳。これに豆腐や麺もセットという充実度。テーブルの上は食材ばかりに埋まっていきます。中国二千年の歴史の皇族達もこんな光景を目の前にしてきたのでしょう。
スープは、定番の白湯と麻辣の２種類。クリーミーな味わいに、たっぷりの薬膳の風味を追加。これはスープそのままでも楽しめるクオリティー。麻辣は本場を感じる強い辛味が特徴で刺激的。どちらにも魅力があるので、それぞれで肉や魚介や野菜を楽しみましょう。ミトミえもんはいつも２つをブレンドしていただくのですが、マイルドなスープに辣油を垂らしたようで、これが本当に美味いのだ。個人的には豚のスライスが一番好みかな。
火鍋はやっぱり美味しい。火鍋でコロナを吹っ飛ばせ！
