Just a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station! Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) is super cheap, delicious, and will fill you up. It's also great for parties!
[Ikebukuro] Highballs and chuhai for just 190 yen! "Izakaya Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) no Hoshi" offers Burmese cuisine and is full of hope |
I went to this restaurant because I heard I could eat Burmese food cheaply. I sat at a counter seat, with the same atmosphere as a snack bar. Drinks were cheap. I ordered a lemon sour for 190 yen. There was one waiter, who worked both in the dining area and cooking. I ordered skewers as my main dish. I ordered a variety of dishes, but I was able to enjoy the characteristics of this restaurant better from the "Asian" menu than the "Japanese" menu. The last biryani I ordered had spicy chicken thighs and long-grain rice, with a strong Asian flavor. The waiter, a Burmese waiter, spoke good Japanese, was skilled in honorific language, and was friendly, and I liked him because he wasn't the rude attitude that is common in cheap Izakaya (Japanese-style bar).
