何となく、良くも悪くも、ワタミらしいな、と思った。
池袋東口の西武の向かい側の一画にあるビルの６階。
丁寧で明るく親切な応対で、席へ案内される。
パッドで注文し、回転寿司的なレーンで運ばれてくるタイプの店。
定食と単品を注文したのだが、単品の肉ばかり来て、肝心の定食が来ない。
定食の方に、ライスが付いてくるので、肉だけ焼いても仕方がない。
ある程度、店内が混み合っていたので仕方が無いとは思いつつも、注文から20分を経過したトコロで、店員さんの呼び出しボタンを押した。（写真の時間データは便利）
なかなか来ない店員さんにキョロキョロしていたとき、ちょうど定食も店員さんもやって来た。
で、大丈夫です。
と、お帰りいただいたのだが、僕の周りで、全く同様の事象が多く発生していた。
向かい側の人もそうだった。追加のライスを注文したらしく、火が付いた無煙ロースターに向かい合い時間を持て余していた。仕方なくであろう、店員さんの呼び出しボタンを押したら、スグにライスも店員さんも来た。
ひょっとして、そういうシステムなのではないのだろうか？と勘ぐりたくなるほど、そういうタイミングで、同時発生していた。
博多ラーメンの替え玉で、特別のヤワ、ズンダレの注文以外で、３分以上またせたらアウトだと思うのと同じで、焼肉途中のライスのお代わりは真っ先に対応すべきであろう。
もて余すだけでなく、食欲にも影響する。
妙に時間を空けたら、食べたいモノも怪しくなってくる。
で、店員さんはと言えば、堂々とスマートに、明るく丁寧にやって来るのである。
うん、どこか、ワタミっぽい。(笑)
「大盛じゅーしーカルビ(180g)ランチ」(1,188円)＋「シマチョウ」(437円)＋「黒毛和牛ロース(鹿児島県産)」(547円) ーー 写真の通り。
ランチには、ライス・スープ・キムチ・サラダが付いてくる。
タレはカルビ専用とソレ以外。他に、コチュジャン、おろしニンニクの小袋も。
カルビ、不思議な食感と味わい。
ある程度厚切りっぽい感じだが、肉々しくない。
マズくはないのだが、ケモノの肉である荒々しさが感じられない。
見た目の赤身部分と脂身部分に反して、どこからも油が噴出するような不思議な肉。
コレ、形成肉？と思うような焼き心地。
シマチョウ、なかなか良好。
かなりカチコチに凍っていたが。逆に、ソレが功を奏している感じもした。
鹿児島県産の黒毛和牛ロース、まぁ価格的にしょうがないであろうが、見た目の霜降りと味わいが一致しない雰囲気。
エイジング・ビーフ系なのだろうか？
肉の呼吸の痕跡すら感じられない。
肉だけでなく全体的には、価格的妥当性の範囲にあるのだろうが、マトモな焼肉の雰囲気からは、ちょっと遠い感じもしてしまった。
一番美味しかったのは、ワカメスープである。
仮にインスタントだとしても、はんなり優しく、良きバランスだった。
ごちそうさまでした。
もし、次に来るとしたら、ホルモン単品とライスの単品で過ごすかも知れない。
ホルモンランチとかの定食を作ってくれないかな？
