インド・ネパール料理というと、カレー、ナン、サフランライスなどばかりが印象にあるが、実はネパールには麺料理がある。インドで麺料理を見かけることはまずないと思うが、ネパールでは、“トゥクパ” と呼ばれるほとんどラーメン的な小麦麺があるのだ。
当店には、その “トゥクパ” 料理がいくつか用意されている。
◆モモ トゥクパ （850円）
モモがトッピングされているので “モモ トゥクパ”。
まず、“トゥクパ（麺）” は、中太で食感にはやや粉っぽさがある。
野菜や玉子を使い塩味ベースでさっぱりとした仕上げられた味わい。
その見た目は、ネパールらしく、ターメリックを使用しているのでスープは黄色く明るい
イメージで、なんともヘルシーである。
当店のモモは、いわゆるカレー風味のスパイスが効いていて、ややピリッとした味わい
にて、なかなか旨い。
あっさりした野菜味の麺に、このモモの味わいが、とても相性よくフィットしている。
◆生ビール（450円）
頼みたかったネパールのビールが切れていたので、国産ビールにて。

「せんべい？ パパドね」
「オゥ、ソウデス」
って、豆でつくる薄焼きのパパド、ぼくだって知っとるわい。ぷっ！
Ｌ字型の店内はテーブル7～8卓。
スタッフは皆さんインド・ネパール系でフランクなんだが、いかんせん日本語がかなりたどたどしく、メニューの細かい説明は期待できないのは、やや難点かと思える。
もっとも、メニューは画像入りなので、指で指せばいいとは思うが。
「この “モモ トゥクパ” は美味しいですね」とスタッフに声をかけると、
「ココ、イチバンオイシイデスヨ」 と隣の席に座っていたエキゾチックなインド系のお姉さんがひとこと。
現地の人たちに支持されている味わいなのだな。
いずれにしても、当店の “モモ トゥクパ” はお勧め度の高いひとしなですよ。
