2007年創業のうどん店『いせ万』へ。ここは文字通り伊勢うどんを楽しめる都内には珍しいお店だ。高田馬場エリアの住宅街の中でひっそりと営業しております。
注文はもちろん伊勢うどん。
伊勢うどんの最大の特徴といえば、うどんの柔らかさにある。例外なく同店のうどんも柔らかいタッチだが、その先にはお餅のようなもちっとした食感がまっております。ちなみに、麺は本場の三重県の製麺所から取り寄せているんだとか。出汁は無添加とのことですが、この味わいも強烈。かなり濃厚で、甘さと同時に結構なしょっぱさが印象的です。スープの辛さに加えて、ネギの風味の辛さ、そして卓上の七味の辛さ、違った角度の辛さがもちもち麺をコーティングしております。
ちなみに、伊勢うどんのルーツは伊勢神宮への参拝客に振る舞ったことに由来する。この季節のような暑さの中で、この塩気が体力回復の一助にもなったことでしょう。ご馳走様でした。
