JR高田馬場駅から早稲田通りを戸山第二小学校のところで右折してジーンズメイトとかがある通りを真っ直ぐ行くと左側にこちらのそば屋さんがあります。間口が狭いので、立ち食いソバ屋かカウンターだけのお店なのかと思ってましたが、中は広く、普通のおそば屋さんでした。この日は祝日のランチタイムに訪問。この日は15時までの営業とのことであと2時間くらいで終了でしょうか。先客は二組で、空いてるテーブル席に案内されました。
メニューを見てると店員さんが、重あい鴨そばが人気で、天ぷらのついてるそばも良く出ます。と声をかけてくれました。重あい鴨と重まいたけで元々悩んでたので、重あい鴨をオーダーしました。重（かさね）あい鴨は名前の通り、せいろが3段に重なったそばと、温かい甘じょっぱい汁に鴨とゴボウとネギが具材として入っています。
鴨とネギとゴボウのハーモニーはよく、それだけ食べても美味しいですが、蕎麦はせいろを3枚にわけたせいで、1枚あたり2−3たぐり位で無くなってしまいます。商品名からもせいろを重ねてあるのがウリなのかもしれないですが、あんまり意味を感じません。蕎麦自体は割りと太めの田舎風、普通のお蕎麦ですが特筆するところはありませんでした。
