2018年8月某日の12時前に訪ねた。
高田馬場駅を出て徒歩5,6分ほどの場所にある中華料理店「金鍋2号店 唐人街」。
店内は広くてちょっと暗め。先客は3名ほど。
テーブル席1人で座り「豚肉・きくらげ・玉子炒め定食」¥700。
料理を待っている間に続々と来店客があった。近隣ビジネスマンが団体でやってくるが、受け入れられるだけの席数はある。
7,8分ほど待って料理が提供される。
野菜の具材が多めの「豚肉・きくらげ・玉子炒め」。そこまで濃い味付けではなく、程好い味の「豚肉・きくらげ・玉子炒め」。ご飯のおかずにも悪くない。油も思ったより多くないので、食べていて嫌な感じはない。
具材の質は正直それほど高いものではない。ちょっと味の変化を加えるべく、卓上のザーサイを加えて味わってみる。
ザーサイの辛さと塩気を加えて定食を堪能。
スープは少々惜しく、妙に薄味だった。
ただ、トータルで甘めの強いデザートも付いて700円という値段設定は妥当なところだろう。
微妙な立地が幸いしてなのか、ランチ時の来店客が意外に多い店であった。
