Takadanobaba "Baba feel grilled duck". A relatively new Myanmar restaurant that opened last year. I was invited to a dinner party by Ms. Lapeko @burmese.tokyo, a Myanmar cuisine researcher. If you go down a dark alley just off the railroad tracks, you'll come across a building that looks like an old house that was forced into a store. It has the atmosphere of Kabukicho's ``Shanghai Good Food''. It has two floors, and according to Tabelog, it can accommodate 100 people. Choose what interests you from a colorful menu with adorable Japanese misspellings. Fermented tea leaf salad, fried chickpeas, Tsubokusa (Centella asiatica) salad, specialty roast duck, catfish simmered in spiced oil, goat internal organs simmered in spiced oil, bone-in goat simmered in spiced oil, Myanmar-style Mazesoba (Soupless noodles), etc. It's nice to be able to eat a little at a time on a small plate, and the sake is reasonably priced at ¥2,900 for a bottle of Kurogiri, and all the drinks go well. I especially like the grilled duck, which is also the name of the restaurant. Even in Hong Kong, where I spent my childhood, I loved and often ate fried goose rice, a popular dish that was eaten on top of rice, so I felt nostalgic for it. Hing = Spiced oil boiled = almost curry, but with a Bangladeshi taste. It's interesting to eat food from different countries because it makes you realize that even though the languages and cultures are different because of the land connection, there are things that are shared. I would also like to travel to Myanmar. Please note that there are many cases where it is difficult to communicate in Japanese or orders are forgotten, but please treat them with an open mind as if you are traveling to Myanmar.
