早稲田のリーガロイヤルホテルの1Fにある洋菓子店。
ドアマンを横目に見つつ、日曜15時ごろ入店。
入って左手にありパンと洋菓子が売っています。
マスコットなのかクマのぬいぐるみも売っていてちょっと心惹かれました。
ショーケースには10種ほどで気持ち高めの値段設定。
購入したのは、
・『栗のロールケーキ(¥450) 4.0☆☆☆☆』
・『ショコラ・フランボワーズ(¥490) 3.5☆☆☆★』
”栗ロール”はふんわりとした食感のスポンジ。
マロンクリームが巻かれていてしっかりとした味わい。
なにより角切りマロンが贅沢に入っていてこれはすごい！
ちなみにスポンジはコーヒー風味とのことでしたが印象に残らず。
上にも半分に切られた甘露煮もあって満足感のあるケーキでした。
”ショコラ”は生チョコとフランボワースソース、スポンジが3段に重ねられたケーキ。
しっとりとしたスポンジと口解けのいいチョコの食感の違いが面白い。
フランボワーズは甘さだけでなくしっかりと酸味が感じられるバランスのとれた一品でした。
どちらもクオリティが高くてさすがと思える味わい。
ホテルへの宿泊はもちろん再訪したいと思える洋菓子でした。
