「箸で切れる」というキャッチフレーズやカツサンドで有名な豚カツ屋です。支店もいくつかありますし、名物のカツサンドはあちこちで売っているので、この店のロゴを見たことがある人は多いのではないでしょうか。こちらはその本店です。
表参道駅からやや入り組んだ道を入ったところにありますが、スタイリッシュで見やすい案内看板がそこかしこに出ているので、迷ったりはしないと思います。
外観は体育館みたいにデカいです。全体が写真に収まりません。カツサンドのテイクアウトカーナーもありますね。
お店の前は駐車スペースがあって、誘導のため警備員が二人立ってます。およそ豚カツ屋の雰囲気じゃないです(^_^;)
1人での利用ですので1階のL字状のカウンター席に通されました。なんか天井が高くて開放的です。
そしてあちこちにお店のロゴがあしらわれています。サブリミナルみたいです(^_^;)
黒豚や紅豚といった様々なブランド豚がメニューにあって迷いますが、値段も手ごろな茶美豚のロースカツにしました。
「茶美豚＝ちゃーみーとん」らしいです。普通は読めません(^_^;)
ちなみに私がメニューを見てあれこれ悩んでいる間、サービスの女性がそわそわしている海外のお客さんに英語でメニュー説明を始めました。びっくりです。こんな対応がスッとできる豚カツ屋ってそうはないです(^_^;)
１０分ほど待っていると鰹節のかかった大根おろしが先に出てきました。その後程なくして豚カツの登場です。
150ｇのハズですが思った以上にでかいです。こんなに大きかったっけ？
まあ、まずはまい泉オリジナルの塩で頂きましょう。
衣が厚い割にザクザク気持ち良く噛み切れて気持ち良いですね。肉の繊維が断ち切れていて柔らかいので、確かにこれなら箸で切れそうです。衣と肉が１：１くらいの比率ですが、この衣の歯ごたえと柔らかい肉は良く合います。塩はクリスピーな感じを引き立てます。
ソースは甘口ソースとウスターソースっぽい辛口があります。両方試しましたが、辛口ソースの方が好きですね。サラサラのソースが厚めの衣に吸い込まれて良い具合になります。これは塩よりも気に入りました^m^
合間に大根おろしや漬物を食べると一旦舌がリセットされますので、塩・甘口ソース・辛口ソースと味を変えていってもそれぞれの味わいをクリアに楽しめます。今回は試しませんでしたが、この大根おろしに醤油を追加して豚カツと一緒に食べたら旨いと思います。
ご飯もみそ汁も旨いですね。結局ご飯はおかわりしました。この店はキャベツとご飯のおかわりが無料です^m^
豚カツで食べるご飯って凄い充実感があります。あっという間に食べ終わりました。流石は有名店です。納得の旨さでした。
本日のお勘定は1680円です。今度は数人で訪問して2階席を堪能してみたいです。ご馳走様でした。
