誕生日に家人にリクエストして行った店。最初からこれ言うのもどうかと思いますが、お会計はケチ夫婦的には目玉が飛び出ましたが(ケチ夫に何度も蒸し返されて嫌味を言われます)、それを差し引いても最高に近い食体験でした。これくらい取っても記憶と胃袋をガッチリと掴む店。誕生日のお花もお願いしていたのですが、とても素敵なチョイスでした。
凝りまくった中華が出てくるという先入観がありましたが、基本を踏まえつつシンプルで、でもそこに斜め上の解釈が加わることで、とても強い説得力で我々の胃袋をねじ伏せてきました…と書くと、濃い味付けのような表現に取られかねませんが、そうではなく、素材を引き立てつつもさらに華やかにする感じでとても好みでした。
セトリ(コースのメニューをそう呼んでしまいたくなりました)の中でどれがベストか、家人とたまに思い出し合います。私は牡丹海老のヘネシーVSOP漬けのインパクトと味わいが蘇りますが、家人は鮑の椒麻ソースも挙げていました。我々は通常、メイン近くでしんどくなるのですが、大海老のパン粉炒めもとても良かったです。(そして黒毛和牛もありがたいボリュームで味を楽しめました！)
デザートに湯圓が出てきて、その日の朝に湯圓のことを考えてたと叫んだら、ストイックそうなシェフに「そんなことあります！？」て笑ってもらったのも思い出になりました。
残りの人生、凝りすぎててよくわからない高い中華に色々行くくらいなら、MIMOSAに10回行きたい。
