約30年ぶりぐらいに訪問。
以前はとても暗く、ちょっと怖いイメージだったが、十数年前に改装したらしく開放感があってデザインが洗練されていた。
当時あったクラシックバーガーだったかな？は今はない模様、なので多分これが近いであろう、ダブルデッカーダブルチーズバーガー＋ハラペーニョ＋ピクルスを注文。
その時担当してくれた、女性のスタッフが何度か行き来しながら、ハンバーガーからチーズ抜いて、パティも1つ抜いて別ザラに盛ってクラシックバーガー再現できますよとの提案。
そんな面倒なわがまま通るんですが！？と恐縮しながら聞くと。はいできますよ！と満面の笑顔で答える。その後も何度か来て、味どうでしたかとか、飲み物おかわり出来ますよ、とか気にかけていただいて、そんなん惚れてまうやろー！と言いそうになるが抑える。ホスピタリティカンストか！
出てきたハンバーガーはTheアメリカン・バーガーと思わずにはいられない出で立ち。めちゃカッコ良いロックを聞きながら、ケチャップやマスタードを好きなだけかけて、口を思い切り開けてほお張る。繊細な味付けなんていらない、全て大味それが王道にして正義である！
食べながら、当時の記憶を思い起こす。そういやここの食事のあとガスパニックに行ったなーとか、そのまた帰りにタクシー乗車拒否されて、絶対追いつかないのに走って追いかけたなーとか色々思い出して楽しくも美味しい一時を過ごせた。
