We have Russian vodka, Russian wine. |
Visited for dinner with a former colleague. While we were debating what to eat, we started talking about how delicious Russian Cuisine was, so we decided on this restaurant that was recommended by a Russian woman in the company. The staff at the restaurant will tell you a lot of recommended dishes, so it's hard to decide, but for the appetizer I tried the red turnip, herring, and potato mille-feuille. The shop staff neatly divided this into two parts. The service is good. Is this what you call a herring wearing a fur coat? The vivid red color catches the eye, but the soft herring goes perfectly with the potatoes and boiled eggs. Borscht is a must-try, with lots of vegetables and meat! The sourness isn't too overwhelming, and you can really go with it as much as you like. Piroshki was recommended to go with borscht (even after I started eating it, I was still convinced that it should go with borscht lol). We shared beef liver and salmon. It doesn't have to be as heavy as fried. The first main dish was beef stroganoff. Serve with smooth mashed potatoes instead of butter rice. The beef in a mild cream sauce has a nice texture from the mushrooms. The second main dish is fish Hamburg with cream sauce. An easy-to-eat fish Hamburg with a gentle flavor that you'll want to recommend even to children. If I had to force it, I think it could use a little more sauce. Shime was already full, so he skipped dessert and only had Russian tea. The two types of jam are not just a cup of tea...I drink the tea while eating. All dishes are delicious and satisfying. I thought about Russian Cuisine when I traveled there once before, but I don't think there are many Japanese people who don't like it. All of them have a gentle taste and are not greasy or heavy. ...I hope the day will come when I can travel again with peace of mind.
