東京・六本木の都市型複合施設・東京ミッドタウンのオープンにあわせ３月末に開業した超豪華ホテル「ザ・リッツカールトン東京」。
こちらに宿泊する予定があったので、記念に45階のレストランを予約してみた。宿泊料はレストラン込みで大体16万円程度。
「ザ・リッツ・カールトン」といえば、その想像を超える感動的なサービス。宿泊してみて、印象的だったのは、すれ違う従業員が「こんにちわ」など自然な笑顔で対応すること。高級ホテルというと冷たい印象があるが、とてもフレンドリーだ。このホテルでは、従業員一人ひとりにマニュアルに縛られずに客に対応することが認められており、そのサービスこそが高級ホテル、との考え方に立つ。
そんな一流ホテルの更なる感動を得られるディナーは、東京の夜景が一望できる45階のレストラン「タワーズ」。東京タワーと東京スカイツリー、2つのタワーを眺められる。きらめく東京の夜景をバックに存分に楽しむことができる。美しすぎる景色に酔いしれるとかこう言ったことを言うのだろうか。
メニューは季節ごとに変わるディナーメニュー「タワーズ ジャーニー」。ホテルのテーマでもある「East meets West」をコンセプトに、料理も和と洋が融合した素材やソースを使った、想像力をかきたてるコンテンポラリーグリル料理が中心。
まずは前菜とともにシャンパーニュで乾杯。国内外のワインの品ぞろえが豊富で、シャンパーニュから白ワイン、赤ワインまで、料理に合わせてピッタリのワインを選ぶことができる。
リッツ45Fからの夜景はムード満点。サービスも一流。ワインペアリングコースは、所々に和のエッセンスが散りばめられていて斬新。何をとっても一流である。
結婚記念日、誕生日、サプライズでのプロポーズ、一年に一度、一生に一度の大切な日。誰にでもそんな特別な日がある。そんな日だからこそ、いつまでも記憶に残る一日を過ごしたい。それを叶えてくれるのが、東京で一番高い高層ビルの最上層部に位置する天空のホテル「ザ・リッツ・カールトン東京」だと私は思う。
