The event sponsored by Tabetomo gathered at an American BBQ diner along Sotobori Dori, a 5-minute walk from Roppongi Station. Located on the first floor of a building, it has an open atmosphere with an open space, and of course the interior is Western-style, which makes you feel good (^ ^) Perhaps because of the location, most of the customers are from overseas, so it's crowded. I did. The organizer had booked a 120-minute all-you-can-drink plan for 8,000 yen, including authentic American BBQ, 3 types of American black pork smoked on the day, and draft beer. The content of the course is as follows.・Coleslaw ・Big Iowa House Salad ・Mac & Cheese ・Smoked Chicken Wings ・Smoked Kurobuta Sausage ・Kurobuta St. Louis Style Ribs ・Kurobuta Pulled Pork Sandwiches ・Cornbread First, we each grabbed a drink and toasted to the start!! ︎ There were 10 people in total, so the toasts were lively (^ ^) The chicken wings arrived right away. The Cajun scent is very delicious on its own, but when you add the BBQ that comes with it, the flavor of Southern America spreads. Next was the house salad, a classic American salad served in a large wooden bowl with berry dressing. When I first tried this sweet dressing in America, I thought it had a strange taste, but now I've gotten used to it, and this one has less berry and sweetness, so I find it easier to eat. The mac & cheese brought to you simmering in a skillet is, to put it strangely, a regular garnish on TV dinners, and a side Side Dishes that is a staple of the American diet. But the mac & cheese here is thick and milky, very similar to gratin and delicious! ︎ This is something different σ(^_^;) Also delivered was a smoked sausage, with a strong incense, thin skin, and finely ground meat sausage with lots of spices.It has a texture and taste that is not found in Japan. If so, it may be a dish that Japanese people either like or dislike. And the meat-filled sauce that comes with it! ︎ It's Arashi of Meat (^｡^) Here comes the main character. Pulled pork sandwich and fries. Pulled pork is the pork version of corned beef, which is made by cutting chunks of stewed pork into pieces that resemble corned beef. Sandwich it between buttered buns and bite into it while nibbling on the pickles. The spicy pulled pork tasted very American, and it reminded me of the diner next to the Marriott near the airport. The accompanying fries were also nice and fluffy! ︎ Last but not least is the other main dish, the spare ribs. This also has a smoky flavor and is topped with plenty of sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. It was a rib that had been cooked at a low temperature, so it was soft and had the flavor of pork, making it very filling. If you know American diners, you can say that the rough presentation and serve, which can be said to be reasonable, and the seasoning of the main BBQ sauce, are close to the authentic atmosphere and taste. However, if you are not used to them, you may think that they all taste the same. However, putting aside the small details, I was able to have a stress-free and enjoyable time with the friendly customer service, the delicious food, and the fact that they were very attentive in serving the drinks and taking down the plates after I finished them.
