くず餅といえば『船橋屋』。文化2年（1805年）に亀戸天神参道に創業した、発酵和菓子「くず餅」発祥の老舗だ。その船橋屋が創業200年記念店舗として手掛けた和カフェ、『船橋屋 こよみ 広尾店』。広尾駅から歩いて2〜3分ほど。広尾商店街のコーナーに構える一軒家のお店。以前は、2階にカフェスペースを設けていたが、現在は残念ながらテイクアウトのみの営業となっている。
こよみ限定スイーツとして注目したいのが、「くず餅プリン」。船橋屋のくず餅の原材料を注ぎ込んだこよみオリジナルのプリン。黒蜜ときな粉をかけていただく。まさに和と洋をミックスしたひと品。プリンは非常に優しくおとなしい味。くず餅らしく後味さっぱり。黒蜜ときな粉をかけることで、甘さも深みも出る。
もうひとつ購入したのは、春限定の「桜桜白玉あんみつ」。こちらは白蜜をかけていただく。桜の風味たっぷりの餡子が季節を感じさせてくれる。白玉、求肥もたっぷりが嬉しい。
子どもも大人も楽しめそうな「くず餅プリン」。手土産に喜ばれる一品だろう。
