今回はお昼のお任せ会席コース。向付の本鮪が料亭らしい上質さ。中トロは舌の上で柔らかく蕩け、赤身は鮪らしい仄かな甘みの美味しさ。いずれも本鮪の中の本鮪の味わい。真鯛も軽い熟成感と食感のバランスが一流の証し。アオリイカの甘さも文句なし。
八寸は車海老の西京漬けが素晴らしい。なかなか出会えない、車海老の旨味と甘さを引き出す技を感じる。タラの芽の天麩羅が旬の走り。椀物はたっぷりのズワイガニを鶏卵で綴じている。ズワイガニと上品な出汁がよく合っている。強肴は菊芋と新筍。鉢肴はサワラの黄金焼き。いずれもクオリティが高い。
インテリアの本格和風も、和装のスタッフの痒いところに手が届くサービスの良さも居心地満点。日本酒が大手メーカーだけで、選択の幅のがないことを除けば、料亭の中の料亭でありながら、使い勝手が良いと言う完璧な店。さすが大ホテルグループのフラッグシップホテルが、別邸として直営するだけのことはある。
