Last year in 2023, I went to the KENZO ESTATE winery in Napa Valley on a business trip, and the wines I tasted and bought (I don't know much about wine, so I'm not good at it) were delicious, and the tour was amazing. It was an experience. A Japanese Restaurants was also recommended, so I decided I had to go there someday. When you see an opportunity like this, you have to jump on it. My best friend was visiting from the area, so the four of us decided to try the seasonal B course for 16,500 yen. As for the wine, since there aren't many members who drink it, we use glasses such as Asatsuyu for white, Asuka, and Ai for red. Anyway, the wine is really delicious. I didn't think I was that good at wine, but the red here is really good. ■Amuse: Hokkaido scallops, new onions, greens, tartlets ■Appetizer: Saga white asparagus, yellow paprika, arugula This asparagus was incredibly delicious. ■Hot dish Hirata Farm Kinka pork. New burdock, lotus root, black vinegar, olives. So soft that you don't need to cut it, it's the best. ■Fish Dishes Poilet kelp from Aomori, fresh lotus root, fresh onion, Poirot, Gyoja Garlic miso The flavor accent of the vendor garlic was good. ■ Meat Dishes Roasted beef fillet from Chiba Hisamatsu Farm Horenso, Brussels sprouts, Madera sauce ■Meal Japanese style genopese, tea soba ■Dessert Wasanbon almond tofu, kumquat compote, kumquat ice cream This last dessert is one of the many I have eaten in recent years. Well, it was delicious at its best. Overall, I was satisfied. It was raining lightly, and we were the only ones there, so we had it all to reserved. The food was delicious as expected, but the main dish should have been the wine, and I felt that the food was served as a supporting role for the wine. That's why I should have gone with the drinking comparison set. . . Or, I feel it's probably best to come to the counter to drink wine and order a side. Wine should be the star. I think it was because I was drinking a lot of wine, but I wanted a little more volume for the meal. Well, that said, it had a delicate taste, which was to be expected. As for the space, it was designed to feel more like a bar counter where you would want to drink wine. It felt nice to have reserved, but I felt like I wanted a little more of a private room, or more separation. This time, I thought I'd come here just to have a drink of wine.
