Kara visits Akasaka Myo-dong, a Korean Cuisine restaurant beloved by past prime ministers, and enjoys all-you-can-eat vegetables
Yesterday, I went to Akasaka and saw a red cloth signboard that stood out from afar, and it looked like a nice place, so I went to Myeongdong. I ordered a variety of food, including chijimi and kalbi. |
Akasaka Korean Town takes a bit of courage for the first time. I like authentic and traditional restaurants, but I might not be able to come here without a chaperone. Today, my husband accompanied my family. We were actually looking forward to the restaurant next door, but it was full, so we went to this restaurant, which called out to us. There was only one other group when we entered. It was the opposite of the restaurant next door, so I was worried, "Hmm? Is it okay?", but the wall was covered with autographs of famous people. I'm an amateur, so I change my perspective a little when I see things like that σ(^_^;) As for the taste, the kimchi was lightly pickled. It was just right for me. The vegetable pancake had thin slices of zucchini in it, which was a nice accent. The gomtang soup had more tender beef than it looked. Yakiniku (Grilled meat) was neither better nor worse than expected, and was just delicious. The meat in the samgyeopsal was served rock hard. But it was okay. My favorite this time was gyeranchim, an egg dish similar to chawanmushi. It was fluffy and well-balanced with the broth, and the flavor of the sesame oil was very good! I could eat as much as I wanted. This time, I had the opportunity to eat authentic Korean Cuisine, but I was disappointed that I couldn't be too adventurous and enjoy the authentic feel. I was wondering about Sundae, though. It was Omni's service that made me feel the authenticity here (lol). When the side dishes were gone, Omni gave seasoned seaweed to my child who had left his rice. I thought that he was cold, but he was kind to children, but he immediately scolded my child who had only eaten the seaweed without eating the rice, saying, "Don't leave any rice behind, I gave you the seaweed for that." The frightened child quickly ate all the rice (lol). Ah, but it didn't feel scary at all. It felt like "mother or grandma." It was a nice dinner, but since Omni is the only one in charge of this restaurant, I think it will take a while for the food to be served if there are 2 or 3 groups. On this day, we were the only ones left after the previous customers left, so we didn't have to wait. Also, when you sit down, there is no service like in the real thing (prepared for the drama), where they give you some dishes like namul. Since this is my first time at an authentic restaurant, I would like to use this as an opportunity to visit other restaurants. *I apologize for the bright lighting making the menu photos difficult to see.
