Mapo Tofu Set Meal (600 yen) Our restaurant is the best place to eat and drink at a low price in Akasaka. Lunch there. All menus have great value. Although the cost performance is good, when you enter the store, there are surprisingly few seats left, probably because of the unappealing façade, the plain entrance, and the fact that you have to take an elevator to the third floor. When I sat down, I took a quick look at the menu. All of them are cheap, but the mapo tofu set meal caught my eye the moment I saw it. It's 600 yen, so I guess it tastes pretty good. But my balls really make me want to eat cheap mapo tofu. The rice will arrive first. And pickles, almond tofu, and soup. I expected the mapo tofu to be cheap, but when I looked at it, it turned out to be quite authentic. The quantity is not small either. When I received it, it was quite spicy. I wonder if it's the Chinese pepper with the bean sauce, but it's beyond spicy, and it's quite spicy as you eat it. The amount of rice is small compared to the amount of mapo tofu, but you can refill the rice yourself. I finished it all in one go while mixing it with zha cai. At our restaurant, you can even get your own coffee after your meal. There was a time when Akasaka had good cost performance for "8", but prices have gone up there as well, and the quality has gone down. I think this is now the most cost-effective lunch option in Akasaka. Matsuya served mapo tofu with a so-so taste, and I regretted it because it was so-so, but I don't think this place will disappoint the lunch refugees.
