13時頃、赤坂見附をぶらついていたところ、おもしろい店名を見つけたのでふらり。
カツカレーランチ。
まずサラダがでてきましたがいいボリューム感。
仮にココイチのポテトサラダと比較したら同等のボリュームで単品300円だとすると、
差引700円でカツカレーか。すでにいいコスパ笑。
カツは上品な質感で、ブランド云々とは関係なく
丁寧に育てられた豚を仕入れているのだろうことが見て取れる。
カツの切りかたも細めに切ってあり好印象。
まずはサラダの箸を使い、とんかつをカレーソースにつけて食べる的な食べ方をしてみる。
これは品の良いとんかつ定食をカレーソースでいただいている雰囲気が出て、自己満ですがさらにコスパがあがる。
カレーは中辛、適度にスパイシーで、適度にコクがありながらキレもよく、
単体でバランスがありながら、とんかつの風味に勝ちすぎてしまうこともないため、こちらの豚肉にはよく合うように思えた。
結局最後までとんかつは箸で、カレーはカレーで食べて、おいしいとんかつカレー“定食”に満足。
凝りに凝ったスパイスカレーもおいしいが、日本式でかつ外食感もある、このややさらりとした趣のカレー仕上げのほうがトッピングメニューにはいいかも。
難点はメイン通りの１Ｆながら、見落とされがちな場所なことか。
今度は夜、豚バコ入りに行こう。
