一時代を築いた赤坂プリンスホテル。その発祥となった旧館をリノベーションし2016年に再オープンした、赤坂プリンスクラシックハウスにあるフレンチレストラン。建物内にはバー「ナポレオン」、宴会場、挙式会場としての機能も併せ持つ。
建物は1930年竣工。尖塔アーチが特徴的なチューダー様式の洋館、李王家の東京邸として宮内庁御用達の職人の手により作り上げられた。現在では東京都指定有形文化財に指定。館内にあるステンドグラスをはじめとした優美な装飾と、落ち着いた色調の絨毯や木材とのコントラストが美しい。ローズガーデンをはじめ植栽も手入れが行き届いており、中世ヨーロッパ風の雰囲気が漂う。
ディナーのコース料理は1～1.5万円。旬の食材を積極的に取り入れ、和と洋の食材を融合させた”和フレンチ”を提供する。また遊び心がある盛り付け方をしており、視覚でも楽しむことができる。
特にミキュイの富士山サーモンを菜の花のソースとともに頂く一品はこちらの真骨頂。新玉ねぎやオレンジのピクルスは見た目でに華を添えるだけでなく、味にも複雑さを演出する名脇役。
また帆立貝を海苔とハーブバターでローストした一品も絶品であった。
アルコールではワインの取り揃えが豊富。グラスでは日本のワインが赤白ともに複数銘柄そろっている。ボトルでは3万円超の高級ワインもあり、玄人客でもしっかりともてなすことができそう。
1人1.5万円は覚悟する必要はあるが、接客・雰囲気ともに申し分なく、また都内にこのような雰囲気のお店もないため評価は高い。
週末は予約で混み合うものの18時台の最繁忙期を避ければ比較的予約は可能。
