赤坂の「うずまき」という担々麺のお店が閉店しちゃってとてもさみしいってブログに書いたら、場所を近所に移して「うず担」って名前で営業されてらっしゃいますよ…、ってコメントもらった。
そんなことを聞いたらいてもたってもいられない。昼ご飯にと食べに来た。
赤坂見附の駅から歩いて歩いてそろそろ赤坂が終わっちゃうんじゃないかと思う場所に看板、やっと発見。ビルの地下。
前のお店は半地下だった。地下といってもかなり大きくテーブル席も６卓ほど。カウンターに座って担々麺と注文します。
お店の顔ぶれがなつかしい。
粛々と、そして丁寧に調理がすすむ。少々待ちます。おいしい時間。
お待たせしましたとやってきた料理の顔もなつかしく、しかも香りがすでにおいしい。
うつくしくて華やかな顔。ひと口大の青菜に青ネギ、正方形に切った白ネギ。ゴロゴロとした肉の醤油煮。ぽってりとした白いスープに朱色のラー油。うっとりします。
ザクっと歯切れる細い麺。なによりスープがおいしいのネ…、しっかりとした旨みに混じるやさしい辛み、そしてきおり感じる痺れ。赤唐辛子や山椒の香りがフリルのようにおいしいスープを彩る感じがなんともステキ。
ヒリヒリしない。ピリピリしない。なのに辛旨。過ぎることなく足りぬものもなく、端正にして力強い担々麺はそうはない。
なつかしいなぁ…、ずっとこうしてあってくれることに感謝したくなる。オゴチソウ。
お通し代わりに出された茹でたもやしに肉団子もおいしく、夜にはたのしくお酒も飲めそう。誰かを誘って夜に来るのもいいなと思った。オキニイリ。
