3 minutes from Akasaka Station ◆ Yakitori grilled over binchotan charcoal, and a wide selection of sake and shochu ◎ Lunch from 800 yen -takeaway available
This restaurant is proud of its savory grilled yakitori over binchotan charcoal and delicious dishes carefully prepared in-house. Lunch is reasonably priced, starting at 800 yen. The "Chicken Nanban S |
As I have work near Hie Shrine in Akasaka today, I will be having lunch in Akasaka, where there are many restaurants. Even though we are under a state of emergency, Akasaka is very busy. I was looking for a place where I could eat without being too crowded, and I saw a sign announcing that this restaurant was open for lunch. The restaurant is located in the basement of a certain building, and is supposed to be Grilled skewer Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), but at this time of year they are surviving by being open for lunch. There were only two groups of customers ahead of me, so it's not too crowded. I wanted to show you the lunch menu, but they said they don't have the "Cow tongue Stew" today. So I decided to go with the "Chicken Nanban Set Meal", which I thought was the next best option. The food was served in about 10 minutes, and the chicken nanban was smothered in tartar sauce. When I tried it, the sweet and sour sauce and tartar sauce went really well together. The tartar sauce itself is apparently homemade, so it doesn't have much acidity, and I think I could eat rice with that alone. The accompanying salad was crunchy, and the seaweed soup was also good. They seem to have good cooking skills. Above all, I think the main attraction is the sake bottles lined up on the counter seats, but that will be the case once the coronavirus pandemic is over. It's in the basement, so it's easy to overlook, but I think it's a good restaurant. Thank you for the meal.
