Torika is a yakitori Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) located on the northeast corner of the Tameike intersection, on the first floor of the Hosokawa Building, a 10-story office building that was completed in 1958. There are several restaurants on the first, second, and basement floors of the building. As you face the store, there is a cluster of similar restaurants, including the Chinese restaurant ``Jiajia'' on the right and ``Golden Gyoza / Dumpling'' further to the right. Torika has the lowest lunch prices in the area, and because it allows smoking, it gets very crowded around 12:00, and sometimes it's full, so they don't allow new customers in. I visited on this day as it was a long holiday and I had read that it would be empty. When I went there, the guy in the kitchen seemed busy and was giving directions in Japanese with a Chinese accent, saying, ``Nikai Nikaine.'' You can still sit on the first floor if you share a table, but the tables are full. When you go up to the second floor by the stairs on the right in the back, there is certainly plenty of room on the second floor. Take off your shoes and sit on the horigotatsu seat. Just then, the guy from the hall came running up to greet the new customers and, in honor of the restaurant's name, asked for the "[b:Chicken Steak Set Meal]" (780 yen). Instead, a cup of cold water and plastic chopsticks in a chopstick bag are placed. There are 6 types of lunch options: Chicken Steak Miso Yaki Chicken Nanban Beef tendon curry Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) bowl (discontinued) → Beef sukiyaki hotpot Toriyoshi set meal (discontinued) → Pork Cutlet egg toji 780 yen flat rate. There is no background music and it is silent. Smoking is allowed, but since there was only one person using e-cigarettes and the ventilation fan was running strongly, there was almost no impact. Your meal will arrive in 15 minutes. Chicken thighs and cabbage sit on a hot iron plate, making a sizzling sound and steam rising. White rice, miso soup, hiyayakko, and pickles. Miso soup is quite strong. How about chicken? The sauce is light and soy sauce-based, with a little bit of garlic, and the meat is tender and flavorful. I will bounce on the rice. The rice is cooked to a soft texture. I can see why it would be popular with this kind of performance at this price. I went down to the first floor and could use PayPay, but my coin purse was heavy, so I paid in cash on this day. Mr. Gochisousou.
