I was looking for a lunch place in the Bancho area, and after walking around, I found this Chinese restaurant. Smoking is allowed in the semi-basement. There are several types of lunch available, all priced at 850 yen. Only the stone-grilled mapo tofu set meal allows you to choose the level of spiciness. Since I didn't have to worry about going to the bathroom that afternoon, I developed a bad habit and ordered the extra spicy version. When the Chinese female clerk repeated the message, there was a layer of doubt in her voice, wondering, "Is this guy serious?" Isn't there anyone to order? While I was waiting, a female clerk brought me a non-woven apron. I will wear it obediently. After a while, the stone-grilled mapo tofu set meal appeared with steam rising in a big way. What is super spicy that even the store staff will be surprised by? There is no volatile spiciness that makes you choke just by bringing it close to your nose. When I stirred it up, I found something that looked like sticky chunks of Japanese pepper. Is this the source of the spiciness? When you eat it, it doesn't taste very spicy in your mouth, but it hits your stomach. I ate it with a lot of sweat, and the heat of the stone grill continued during that time. A wide area on the tray, from the almond tofu to the slip, was covered in orange chili oil. I agree with the apron. For a while afterward, my stomach struggled with the delayed bitterness.
