何だか行く必要があるのかイマイチわからない仕事に連れまわされて、折角だから昼飯食べて行くかと訪れたのがこちらの〈今井屋本店〉。
四ツ谷のランチは結構難しい。
〈かつれつ四谷たけだ〉は突出して有名（そして美味しい）だが、これを除いてしまうと四谷三丁目駅周辺、荒木町のあたりまで行かないとしっくりくるお店が中々無いというか。
で、飛び込んでみたら、そういやここ、数年前、時分時を外してどこでもいいからメシを食えるところ、と、追い詰められた時に飛び込んだ店だってことを思い出した。
人間、追い詰められた時の行動って、変わらないんだな。
その時、何を食べたのかもはや記憶の彼方だが、3種類の親子丼のどれか、みたいなスタイルだったかなぁ…。
とりあえず頼んだのは〈比内地鶏の親子丼〉。
1,200円で比内地鶏か、いいなと思ったが、炭火で焼きつけたモモはあまり多くなく、ムネ肉のほうが存在感がある親子丼で、味は悪くないけど煮え切らない。
いやまあ、このご時世、ブランド地鶏をこの値段でいただけるなら、しかも美味しく仕上がっているのなら、文句を言えたもんじゃないし、有難くいただきます。
しかし、四ツ谷のランチって、何が正解なんだろう。
頻繁に来るわけじゃないが、時々訪れることがあるだけに、ちょっと探っておいてもいいのかな。
