JR、東京メトロ 南北線及び丸ノ内線 四ツ谷駅下車。
新宿通り沿いにある喫茶店「ロン」は、1968(昭和43)年に創業した。
「ロン」は、建築家 高橋てい一(青+光)氏が設計したコンクリートビルヂングで、螺旋階段を上がり2Fへと続くが吹き抜けの構造となっている。
BGMはビートルズが流れ、薄暗い照明、ソファー、テーブル、灰皿が置かれた店内は昭和そのもの。
今回は“ジャムトースト”と“アイスコーヒー”の加糖入りを発注した。
“ジャムトースト”は、バターテイストと果肉テイストの二種類が味わえ、何れも厚切りとなっており、ふんわりとサクサクとした食感に、苺の甘味が鼻に抜ける。
また“アイスコーヒー”は、加糖と無糖のどちらかが選択でき、今回は加糖としたが、無糖も是非味わってみたい。
苦味、渋味を感じる事は出来なかったが、甘味が後を引く旨さであった。
煙草増税により最近節煙に心掛けているのだが、やはり周囲が吸っていると、煙や匂いが気になってしまう。
