福岡ではじめて鶏皮焼を食べたときは驚いた。長めのひと串に鶏皮がびっしりと巻き付けられ、周囲は5本、10本と頼んでペロリと食べてしまう。地方の食は面白いなあと思ったものだが、数年前に四ッ谷にも進出した。いまははなれまであるから繁盛しているのだろう。都内に数店舗ある鶏皮をウリにする焼鳥屋で、まずは鶏皮の本数を決めてからほかの料理を考える。まずは3本。そして焼鳥、煮込みで1時間ほどさっくりと過ごして退散。こんな時期にいい気分転換になる。
