2018年11月某日の20時過ぎに訪ねた。
四ッ谷駅を出て徒歩5分ほどの場所にある「焼き鳥 和奏」。
あまり広くない店内は8割方客で埋まっていた。
カウンター席に1人で座り「プレミアムモルツ 生樽」¥470を注文。
お通しは生のキャベツを塩昆布で味付けしたもの。
取り合えず「おまかせ5本」¥1,100と「にら月見」¥350を注文。
注文してから気付かされたこの店の注意点としては、料理の提供がやたらと遅いことにあるだろう。
10分ほど待ってから串が出てくる。「にら月見」は提供される気配が無い。
おまかせ5本からまず「金針菜」がやって来る。初めて聞いた名称の野菜。食感が良く、串料理としてはクオリティが高い。
「せせり」は小さいながらもジューシーで味わい深い。「砂肝」はそれほどクセが無く、歯応えが良い。
「ねぎま」もバランスの良い焼き鳥で、オーソドックスながら良い味。「はつ」は思ったよりも大ぶりで質の高い串料理。
串を食べながら飲み物を日本酒に切り替える。この店の日本酒の品揃えは良いと思う。
やっと出てきた「にら月見」を食べる。良い味の「にら月見」。玉子もにらも味付けもちょうど良い。
料理は美味しい焼き鳥屋であった。惜しいのは料理の出てくるタイミングが悪いので、追加注文がしづらいこと。2人で店をまわしていたので手が足りていないのだろう。人手不足が解消されれば普通に良い店になると思う。今後に期待。
