A Gyoza / Dumpling-focused restaurant located 1-2 minutes walk from JR Yotsuya Station, Kojimachi Exit. It is located on the second basement floor of a building on the right hand corner as soon as you exit Bancho Gakuen Street after passing the roundabout where the taxi stand is. I visited for a weekday lunch. It is on the second basement floor, so you have to go down a flight of stairs. I entered the restaurant around 12:15, and there were quite a few customers and it was lively. However, since I was alone, I was seated immediately and shown to a seat in the corner at the back. I looked at the menu, but Gyoza / Dumpling and fried chicken set I was planning to eat was no longer available. So I ordered [b: "Gyoza / Dumpling set meal (6 pieces)" (500 yen including tax) and "2 pieces of fried chicken" (200 yen including tax) as a topping. When I asked the staff, it seems that Gyoza / Dumpling and fried chicken set menu is no longer available. There are various Other sets, but the menu composition was mysterious. (lol) [b: ・ Gyoza / Dumpling set meal ・ 2 pieces of fried chicken (topping)] It was served in less than 5 minutes. Gyoza / Dumpling set meal consisted of six Gyoza / Dumpling, rice, miso soup, salad, and pickles. Two fried chicken toppings were served on a separate plate. I tried Gyoza / Dumpling without any dipping sauce... it was moderately flavored and had a decent garlic flavor. There was no meat juice, but it felt like meat Gyoza / Dumpling. I wonder if the filling was made from meat and leaves like cabbage? I thought about dipping the rest in sauce, but the only condiments they had were soy sauce and chili oil. I couldn't believe that Gyoza / Dumpling restaurant would have no vinegar, but they didn't have anything they didn't have... I had no choice but to make a sauce by adding chili oil to soy sauce, and dipped them in it, but it wasn't very good, so I dipped only two in the sauce and ate the rest as they were. Gyoza / Dumpling itself was quite delicious and suited my taste. The skin was neither too thin nor too thick. It wasn't very crispy, but the filling was quite well seasoned. However, each Gyoza / Dumpling was quite small. So I think that 6 pieces alone would not be enough for an average man. So I think it was a good idea to top it with fried chicken. There were two pieces of fried chicken, which were quite large. It was served with shredded cabbage and mayonnaise, and a small amount of chopped green onions on top of the fried chicken. The cabbage was also topped with a Chinese-style dressing, which was flavorful enough on its own. I ate the fried chicken as is at first, but for those who like mayonnaise, it tasted overwhelmingly better with mayonnaise (lol). It seemed like the same amount of food as 6 Gyoza / Dumpling and 2 pieces of fried chicken. The fried chicken was neither good nor bad. For 200 yen, it was not bad. Unfortunately, the rice was Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) quality. I guess that's because you can have as many refills as you want? The miso soup also had three pieces of gluten, seaweed, and chopped radish root. I thought it was instant. There was a small amount of pickles, but they were pickled in soy sauce. I guess it was fine because it was my preference. After I finished eating, I was full thanks to the fried chicken (lol). This restaurant allows smoking at all seats, so it's tough for non-smokers to do this at lunchtime. The moment I entered, a sense of failure filled my whole body. I ate it all in one go, with the feeling that I had to eat quickly and leave without relaxing. Since there are few restaurants where you can smoke inside, these kinds of restaurants inevitably become like hangout spots for smokers. That makes it even more difficult. But the staff were lively, so the atmosphere was good in that sense. By the way, this is underground, so there is no Internet signal, so you have to connect via free Wi-Fi. And, although you can use PayPay, it is not available during lunchtime (tears) Unfortunately, due to various circumstances, I will definitely not be returning (lol) Thank you for the meal.
