読みは四ツ谷一餅堂（よつやいっぴんどう）。四ツ谷にある台湾の屋台グルメを堪能できるカフェ。台湾に50回以上足を運んでいる“台湾ツウ”の店主により、2020年に創業。お客さんの3割が台湾人というこのお店では、日本製のタンドール窯で焼き上げた「胡椒餅」や台湾の定番の朝食メニュー「鹹豆漿」などを提供している。本場の味を再現しつつ、日本人の口にも合う味を試行錯誤しているそう。

すぐに入れました。
◆本日は【翠玉茶】(¥500)+【胡椒餅】(¥480)を注文。
平日の午後に常に50人待ちの行列を作る「四谷見附名代 たいやき わかば」の前にお店は所在。木を基調に暖色の間接照明が照らす、落ち着いた店内は台湾のラジオが流れ、異国情緒を感じられる。
四種類の茶葉を提供しているそうで、それぞれの説明を伺い、今回は【翠玉茶】を選んだ。
このお店のお茶はパックではなく、まるで摘み取ったばかりのような新鮮な茶葉を茶器に入れて緑茶にする。
茶器の使い方が難しく、何度か店員さんに聞いてしまったがそのたび丁寧に教えてくれた。2分ほど待ち、カップから茶器を取り出せば出来上がり。翠玉茶は茶器にお湯を汲み直せば3杯も飲めるそう。口にしてみると透明感があり、クセのない渋みが上質に口元を通り抜けていく。
【胡椒餅】は出来立てを用意していただいた。
メニュー表で見た感じは中華街にある胡麻団子のイメージだったが、胡麻を纏ったパンに近い。食べてみると胡麻の香りが頗るパンにお肉、ネギが胡椒と五香粉で和えられていてスパイシー！！身体の芯からぽかぽかになった。
テイクアウトで購入するお客さんも多く、店内はゆったりとしていて居心地が良かった。
