その昔、大変お世話になった
永田町プルデンシャルタワーの
1Fで営業していた
とんかつ屋さん"赤坂フリッツ"。
その味は、"ポンチ軒"に、
引き継がれていったが、
この"赤坂フリッツ"の
とんかつが食べれるお店が
四ツ谷にオープンしたと聞いて、
行ってきた。
お店の屋号は、
"とんかつ&焼鳥An"。
ホテル京阪東京四谷の
地下1Fにあり、
屋号等が明示されていないので、
分かりにくいが、
新宿通り側からではなく、
東側にある階段を降りると
お店にたどり着く。
店内にはジャズが流れ、
案内されたソファ席は、
とても落ち着く空間。
"赤坂フリッツ"では、
当時2,400円ぐらいした
"スペシャルカツカレー"を
いつも美味しいと言って
食べていたので、
同じものがあればと思ったが、
カツカレーには、
何故か蕎麦つゆを
使っているようなので、
これをパスして、
"特上ロースかつ(沖縄豚)定食"を
注文した。
そこそこ待って運ばれてきた
"特上ロースかつ(沖縄豚)定食"は、
とんかつがからっと揚がっていて、
肉は噛みしめるタイプ。
ただ、厚切りなのに、
引っかかるような
繊維質も特になく、
肉の旨味が拡がる
上質なロース肉で美味しい！^^
これに付ける調味料は、
塩、ソース、ウスターソース。
肉の旨味を楽しむなら断然塩。
その一方で、
ソースを付けてみると、
恐ろしいほど、
とんかつに絡みつき、
超濃厚でスパイシー。
こちらはご飯がパクパク進む！
左端の肉のみ、
縮かんで硬くなっていて、
何故か下味もややキツめだった
ことだけを除けば、
豚汁もご飯も香の物も
美味しかったので大満足！
ちなみに、ご飯の量は、
男性であれば、
大盛でちょうど良いでしょう。
夜は、焼鳥も提供する
居酒屋仕様な感じだったので、
夜の部も、
タイミングを見計らって、
近く立ち寄ってみようと思いました。
