Spring is Akebono Lunch is Dal Bhat I was rejected when I tried to go to a restaurant in Akebonobashi, but while walking I discovered a restaurant that serves Dal Bhat! INDIAN DINING SPICE Opened January 15, 2009 An Indian Cuisine restaurant on the main street of Akebonobashi. A handwritten sign outside said Dal Bhat Set 950 yen (Nepalese-flavored curry), so I decided to go in. The interior of the restaurant is clean and comfortable with light streaming in. According to Tabelog, it has been open since 2009, but it still feels new. There are two people in the kitchen and one in the dining area. Three foreign men greeted us. We wonder if they were Nepalese? It was lunchtime and they seemed busy, so we didn't have much time to talk, but it seems that the owner changed about a year ago. When I opened the menu, there were naan and curry sets lined up, but there were also some Nepalese Cuisine, and Dal Bhat was on the printed menu. It seems that they have been serving Dal Bhat since the owner changed a year ago. ●Dal Bhat Set 950 yen Wow! Dal bhat was served on a round plate. It came with salad and a drink for 950 yen, which is a reasonable price. The dal was swirled with cream. I personally don't need cream, but the taste is not bad. I asked for it to be spicy, and it was quite spicy. I could choose from chicken, mutton, or vegetables for the curry, but there was a chicken curry with taro on the daily specials, so I ordered that. The gravy was similar to dal, but I could also taste a slight tomato flavor. The boneless chicken was nice with the sticky taro. Alu achar and vegetables. The sour dressing made it refreshing. It was nice that there was plenty of vegetables here, even though it also came with a salad. I also ordered rice and papad. I asked for less rice. They were kind enough to say, "If it's not enough, they'll add more." I also ordered a salad with orange dressing. I chose chai as my drink of choice. It was refreshing without the sweetness, as it was served without sugar! If you order dal bhat in places other than Okubo, it will cost over 1000 yen, but here it is a reasonable price of 950 yen. I think Tashi Dere is the only place where you can eat dal bhat in the Akebonobashi area. There are still not many of them, so this is a great place. --- Note comes with a love poem https://note.com/joycooo/n/n8f2046f7820b
