先日、信濃町に所用で来たときに、こちらのお店も気になっておりましたので、今回訪問してみました。
テーブルの準備ができるまで、外で数分待ち、スタッフさんに案内されて入店。
古い木造りの家のリビングのような、とても落ち着いた店内です。
お昼はワンプレートランチの一種のみ。
席に着いて数分で提供されました。
ワンプレートは、赤米のライスの上に、8種類のスリランカのお惣菜が載っています。
チキン、魚、豆、キール、にんじん、かぼちゃ、きのこ、大根。
お店の人が教えてくださる、お勧めの食べ方に従って、まず一品ずつ食します。
それぞれ、調理方法と味付けが異なり、変化を楽しめます。どれもスパイスを効かせつつ素材の味を前面に出した素朴な味わいですね。また、魚のカレーは鰹節を使ったような味です。
次に、辛いものと甘いものを混ぜて食します。味がマイルドで複雑なものに変わり、一品ずつとは違う体験ができます。
食べ終わると、デザートと紅茶が提供されます。
デザートは、3種のケーキ。ちょっとスパイスの効いたもの、とっても甘いもの、オーソドックスなケーキのようなもの。それぞれ味わいが異なります。
紅茶は、香りがとても良く、深みのある味で、デザートにとても合います。
どの料理もとても美味しく大変満足です！
そして、スタッフさんの対応が素晴らしく、とても気持ちよく過ごすことができました。
入店・退店時には全員が笑顔で挨拶してくださいました。またテーブルでのお食事の説明はとてもわかりやすく。紅茶を飲み終えて退店しようとしたら、まだ別の紅茶をお持ちしますよとおっしゃって、結果3種類の紅茶を楽しむことができました。
久しぶりにランチで豊かな時間を過ごすことができました。ありがとうございました。
次はディナーで伺って、もっと多くの種類の料理をいただこうと思います。
