お昼時に市ヶ谷。そういえば麹町方向に向かってすぐのところに、お昼はうどんを提供する居酒屋があったっけ、、１つ目の角の左手、階段を下りたところに看板を見つけました。
店内はテーブルが６、７卓にカウンタ４席、もっとオオバコの居酒屋かと思ったら意外とこじんまりしています。BGMは元気なJ-POP。うどんは讃岐うどんと書かれていて、温うどん/冷うどん各10種類ほど、他にご飯とのセットや、鶏からや牛すじなどの普通の定食もあります。その中から夜鳴きたぬきうどん720円を注文しました。というのも、メニューに特に写真等なく、いった何が出てくるのか気になったもので。。しかもランチなのに夜鳴きとは。ちなみに小/並/大同額。
しばらくして運ばれてきたのは、透明感のあるお出汁にうどんが沈み、天かす・けずり節・とろろ昆布・大葉・梅干しがトッピングされた丼。これって別にある紀州梅わかうどんとどう違うのかな？と思いましたが、天かすが入っているあたりがたぬきうどんなんでしょうかね。ではいただきます。
まずはうどん、個性は感じないけれど軽い弾力もあり優等生的な食感です。讃岐うどんを謳うお店にありがちないりこのこれでもか感はなく、スッキリした穏やかなお出汁、これはごくごくと飲めちゃうやつ。いろいろあるトッピング、次はどれを食べようかと迷う楽しさがあります。梅干しははちみつ漬けでしょうか、酸っぱさよりも甘さを感じました。
この日は、厨房お一人・ホールお一人でこのキャパを回していました。すごいなぁ。食べ飽きない一杯なので、日常使いするのに良さそうです。夜は阿波尾鶏を使ったから揚げも名物だそうで、今度はそれを食べてみたいな。む、讃岐うどんに阿波尾鶏、、もしかして四国推し？夜のメニュー見たら、骨付き鶏もあるし。食べログでメニュー紹介を見ると「胡桃屋」という文字も見えるし、、もしかして四谷の胡桃屋さんの関連店かしら。。ごちそうさまでした。
