明治時代から続く老舗中華料理店のカレーをいただきました。こちらのカレーは以前に何かの雑誌で見て気になっていました。賄いで食べていたものをお客さんに出したらすごく好評でメニューになったと言うような内容だったと思います。
老舗中華料理屋さんのカレーは以外とさっぱりしたカレーでした。カレーとしてはかなりシャバシャバです。あんかけ風になっているので上の方はトロっとしていますが底のあたりはかなり水分が多いです。
具材はエビやイカなのど海鮮と、玉ネギ、人参、ピーマン、などの野菜、それに中華っぽくタケノコやキクラゲなんかも入っていました。
全体的な印象としては「中華風海鮮丼カレー味」といったところかと思います。辛さはマイルドで食べやすいですが、カレーに刺激を求める方には不向きかも。
たまには「変わり種カレー」を、といった気分の時にいいかもしれません。
