人気店なので、ピークを外した午後1時半に2名で訪問しました。若者や観光客でごったがえす週末の神楽坂。店内は少し年齢層高めの30～40代のカップルや男性客が多かったです。
霧島spf豚のロースカツ定食(1980円+400円、税込以下同)と、南の島豚のロースカツ単品(2580円)を注文しました。
ロースカツは共に、衣がふんわり香りよく、肉が柔らかい絶妙な揚げ加減です。2度揚げしているようです。
脂肪と身の部分がわりとはっきり分かれていて、身の部分の差しは少なく、あっさりしています。脂ジューシー系が好きな人には物足りないかもしれません。肉の部分は臭みもなく、柔らかく、もしかしたらヒレカツの方が真価を発揮するお肉かもしれません。
調理場には30代～40代ぐらいの男性が３人いますが、トンカツを調理しているのはひとりです。後の2人は盛付け、食器洗い、配膳をしています。他に注文、水汲み、配膳、会計を担当している若い女性がひとりいます。結構広めのお店なので、ピーク時は時間がかかるかもしれません。
店内は料理以外は撮影禁止です。
配膳には15分程度かかりました。定食は先にポテトサラダや漬物のセットが出てきます。壁に色紙や日本画家の絵がかかっているので、眺めながら副菜を食べていれば、そんなに待たされ感はありません。
地下ですがテーブル席とカウンター席の両方あり、間隔がゆったりしているので居心地はいいです。
美味しさと価格のバランスがとれてて、ピークを外せば並ばずに入れるトンカツ店は貴重だと思います。神楽坂散策の折りに、ふらっと立ち寄るのによいかと思います。ワインリストが豊富なので夜もいいかもしれません。
