誕生は1889年、フランスの北部のマイクロベーカリーから始まった「PAUL」
日本に上陸したのは1991年。松屋名古屋から始まったお店は今や日本全国に支店を広げています。
フランス直輸入の生地を使って焼き上げるクロワッサン、現地のレシピを再現して作られるタルト、パン、焼き菓子などがずらりと揃います。
もちろんフランスの味だけでなく、日本人の口に合わせた抹茶や桜を使った限定パンなども登場します。
神楽坂の通りにある支店はカフェスペースもしっかり備え、お昼の時間はかなり賑わっていました。
パンの種類はサンドイッチ、食事パン、ヴィエノワズリ、さらには焼き菓子やケーキもショーケースにびっしり並んでいます。
今回は夕飯用のパンを購入することにしました。
⚫︎滴 shizuku 1/2 324円
うるおいがあり、もっちりとした食感の小麦の旨みを感じる多加水のパン。
→クラストが柔らかいので切りやすく、噛み切りやすい。もっちもちすぎず、ややふかっとした部分もあるので食べやすい。
生地は深みがあるというよりは小麦の味をダイレクトに感じるシンプルな味わいで、家で食べたスープとの相性は抜群でした。
