ここらあたりは老舗の宝庫。「かんだやぶ」、「いせ源」等々ちょこちょこ通うエリア。こちらも建物も重要文化財の筋金入り。
店内に入るとほのかにごま油が香る。静寂感漂う中、桜湯がすっと出される。一口含むと上品な塩味で口中スッキリ。
私は「揚げまん」注文。2個で520円、煎茶付き。ごま油で揚げられた饅頭は揚げ衣は極めて薄く、サクッと仕上がっている。甘さ抑えた餡は暖かく、淡い皮の味で思ったよりあっさり。
平日夕刻16:00、そこそこ席は埋まっていたものの満席に至らず。すぐ座れたものの、テイクアウト含めて客の出入りはひっきりなし。まぁ人気店ですね。
