仕事を終え、この日は神田まで歩き、さりとてその界隈で一人食事を取ることもなく、神田駅構内に入ったところで、後輩よりLINE。今、何処にいますか？ もう帰ってますか？ との内容。電話を掛けると、まあ、久し振りのお誘いとのこと。神田駅の改札を出て、南口で待つこと暫し。最近は書店が減ったのでこうして待つのも何とも所在が無い。
何も予約していないが、お好み焼きならその他の焼き物も含めて良かろうとのことで、後輩が来るのを待つ間にチェック。合流後、一緒にここへ向かう。既に店が混む7時頃だった。店内は粗満席だったが、運良く入口右奥の席に座ることが出来た。
店名が示す様に、プロ野球の広島カープを応援している店で、中には、カープの選手のサインやユニフォーム等が相当沢山飾っている。選手が来店した写真等も数多い。この日は、それをTV中継で流して客がそれを観ながら一喜一憂で、勝利に欣喜雀躍ということではなかったが、調べると試合はあり、広島が勝っている。放送がなかっただけかも知れない。
もつ煮込み、揚げ物等幾つか頼み、締めにお好み焼きを食べた。勿論、広島お好み焼きである。が、これはキャベツが少なく麺ばかりが強調されたもので、もう一つだった。最近はお好み焼きを食べる時は、専ら、広島お好み焼き若しくは麺の入ったモダン焼きを食べるが、それは生地も具も麺もあるその重厚なところが良いのだが、此処のものは薄っぺらい感じがした。
日本酒を3合飲んで、良い気分にはなったが・・・
店は、集団の客ばかりで非常に想像しい。目の前の後輩の話を聴くのも時々難儀した。が、これは店の責任でも何でもない。
